Postdoc Buddy Program

Caltech Postdoctoral Association (CPA) presents the Postdoc Buddy Program (PBP). The CPA would like to help incoming postdocs get acquainted at Caltech and JPL by finding current postdocs to be their “buddies”. The CPA aims to make a buddy match based on postdocs’ work discipline and interests. The buddy relationship can last for a period of few days or weeks, or longer if both parties agree. We can’t guarantee will find a postdoc buddy for you, but we will try our best.

If you are interested in this activity, please use the submission form to sign up:

When you sign up for the Postdoc Buddy Program, CPA only receives your information and we will contact you to confirm your submission. Both new and current postdocs will be informed to confirm the match and to pick up a coffee/tea card ($10).

Any postdocs who have been at Caltech or JPL for longer than 6 months are encouraged to sign up.

3. Can I be a buddy for more than one incoming postdoc?

Yes, you can as long as you can maintain the minimum time commitment.
