CPA STEM for Families

CPA STEM for Families program on campus

This educational program was founded in January 2018 by Eugenia (Jenia) Khorosheva, biochemist, CCE postdoc, and CPA Outreach Coordinator.  It pursues two main goals - passing knowledge directly from scientists to children and building outreach/educational community on campus. The program grew well beyond the postdoc community: we serve about 120 families from Caltech/JPL community and beyond. Every family volunteers in one or another way.

  • 17+ free weekly math circles and science classes on campus serve more than 100 children each week.
  • CPA STEM for families Public lectures target all ages
  • Other initiatives include engineering and coding projects, summer workshops, presenting at the Caltech Science for March.
