CPA STEM for Families
This educational program was founded in January 2018 by Eugenia (Jenia) Khorosheva, a biochemist, CCE postdoc, and CPA Outreach Coordinator. It pursues two main goals - passing knowledge directly from scientists to children and building outreach/educational community on campus. The program grew well beyond the postdoc community, at its peak serving about 120 families from Caltech/JPL community and beyond. Although CPA STEM for Families has not been active in recent years, the CPA has plans to revive the program at the start of 2025. Interested individuals will be able to volunteer in the following ways.
- Free weekly math circles and science classes on campus
- Public lectures that target all ages
- Engineering and coding projects
- Summer workshops
- Volunteer or present at Explore Caltech
